Georgetown Law Library is seeking candidates for the Acquisitions Coordinator position. Under the supervision of the Head of Acquisitions and Content Management, the Acquisitions Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day acquisitions operations in the Content Acquisitions and Management Department. The incumbent ensures that resources are ordered and received in a timely manner, guarantees that financial data is directed to the appropriate departments, and serves as a source of acquisitions information to the Collection Development Committee. The incumbent assists the Head of Content Acquisitions and Management with analyzing policies and procedures and helping maintain the integrity of ordering data within the library services platform.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma and 3-5 years of library experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of standard library practices and procedures.

  • Understanding of acquisitions functions and library services platforms.

  • Familiarity with spreadsheet, database, and cloud-based document storage applications.

  • Strong oral, verbal, and written communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Experience with library acquisitions.

  • Knowledge of legal electronic resources.

  • Knowledge of law and/or legal materials.

  • Familiarity with the ExLibris Alma library services platform.
