The WRLC AI Interest Group invites you to their next meeting on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 10:00–11:00am via Zoom. This session will highlight ways academic libraries are engaging with artificial intelligence.
We will begin with an open discussion, where participants will share recent examples of interesting or fun uses of AI. This is also a great opportunity to explore and contribute to the group’s shared Zotero library, a growing collection of resources on AI in higher education and libraries.
The meeting will also feature a series of lightning talks from colleagues across the consortium:
-
Amy Robertson, Coordinator of Original Cataloging, American University
-
John Kimbrough, Electronic Resources Librarian, Georgetown University
-
Jennifer Froetschel, Metadata Services Librarian, George Washington University
-
Yoko Ferguson, Cataloging & Metadata Librarian / Associate Professor, University of the District of Columbia
-
Roderick Burns, Head of Access Services, Howard University
Following the talks, there will be time for Q&A.
The November meeting will focus on a round robin of teaching with AI, where participants will share strategies and approaches from their own instructional experiences.
