The WRLC reciprocal borrowing program has been in place since the 1960s, and represents one of the longest continuous cooperative arrangements among libraries in the United States.
Today the WRLC reciprocal borrowing program includes:
- Direct borrowing: Students and faculty may borrow in person at any member library
- Consortium Loan Service(CLS): Students and faculty may place an online request for a book or article held by another member library.
