The Library is open to the public for on-site use of materials. Borrowing privileges are extended to MU students, faculty, staff and eligible students, faculty and staff of WRLC.
The loan periods for materials are:
- Undergraduates: 4 weeks
- Graduate students: 6 weeks
- Faculty: three fixed due dates a year (1/31, 5/31, 9/30)
The Gertrude and Homer Hoyt Memorial Collection covers various aspects of economics, including economic theory, labor economics, banking and international economics.
The Mabelle Wilhemina Boldt collection is comprised of materials from the former library of the International Institute of Interior Design. It includes interior design, furniture, architecture, landscape architecture, painting, and sculpture.
The Gomatos Reading Room collection was created by a gift from Dr. Peter Gomatos in honor of his parents, John T. and Agnes J. Gomatos. It is a collection of 4,000 rare books and pamphlets dating from the 17th through the 20th century. The collection may be used by appointment only.
In addition to the regular collection, Reinsch maintains a Curriculum Materials Center to support the School of Education programs.
The Library's collection supports the programs of the University. Strong areas include nursing, business, health care management, education, psychology, literature, interior design, fashion, and physical therapy.
