Ask for a guest pass at the Guard House at the Glebe Road entrance to the campus.


From the Ballston Metro Station on the Orange Line, transfer to the 23A bus. Get off at the bus stop in fron of St. Mary's Episcopal CHurch and walk down 26th Street to the campus entrance.
Library Regulations

The Library is open to the public for on-site use of materials. Borrowing privileges are extended to MU students, faculty, staff and eligible students, faculty and staff of WRLC.

Loan and Period Fines

The loan periods for materials are:

Overdue books are fined at 25 cents per day up to a $25 maximum.
Services for Individuals with Physical and Learning Disabilities
The Reinsch Library & Learning Services building conforms to standards for access by the disabled. A public computer in the Reference area of Reinsch Library is equipped with hardware and software to assist users with special vision needs. Students with disabilities from WRLC institutions should make arrangements prior to visiting the library with the Library Administration Office at 703-284-1673 for assistance needed in locating and using library materials.
Special Collections

The Gertrude and Homer Hoyt Memorial Collection covers various aspects of economics, including economic theory, labor economics, banking and international economics.

The Mabelle Wilhemina Boldt collection is comprised of materials from the former library of the International Institute of Interior Design. It includes interior design, furniture, architecture, landscape architecture, painting, and sculpture.

The Gomatos Reading Room collection was created by a gift from Dr. Peter Gomatos in honor of his parents, John T. and Agnes J. Gomatos. It is a collection of 4,000 rare books and pamphlets dating from the 17th through the 20th century. The collection may be used by appointment only.

In addition to the regular collection, Reinsch maintains a Curriculum Materials Center to support the School of Education programs.

Major Subjects

The Library's collection supports the programs of the University. Strong areas include nursing, business, health care management, education, psychology, literature, interior design, fashion, and physical therapy.
