WRLC's computing and networking environment consists of several different
hardware and software systems:

Two Sun enterprise servers (Sun Fire 6800s) supporting the library
automation system (Endeavor Voyager), digital library gateway system
(Metalib/SFX), web access to subscribed Internet resources, and the
digital collections systems;

Several other Unix servers providing Internet services such as Web hosting,
FTP, proxying for remote users, and electronic mail;
-
A wide-area network with connections to
member campuses (most through MAX, the regional GigaPOP), redundant
Internet service providers, and Internet2.
